Public: A Scenario for Criminal Prosecution to Remove Hrayr Tovmasyan

The newspaper "Public" writes: Last night, following the Constitutional Court's decision, a swift gathering of My Step affiliates and lawyers took place, including Makunts, Simidian, Suren Grigoryan, and Arusyak Julhakyan. They discussed the Constitutional Court's decision, which was unexpected for them. The My Step faction had been prepared for such a resolution of the issue, but not at this stage—they thought the project would be accepted for review, and they would gain time to implement the agreements made with the Venice Commission.

However, according to our information, the members of the Constitutional Court decided to close the issue on a "here and now" principle. The My Step representatives discussed their future actions based on Nikol Pashinyan's promise during a meeting with the faction that, regardless, Hrayr Tovmasyan would be removed. They discussed three legislative options for his removal. In other words, they are initiating legislative projects to establish a new body instead of the Constitutional Court. "By the way, this was a Soros program that Heriknaz Tigranyan pushed from the very first day of Parliament's formation." The next is Arman Babajanyan's project, which is not particularly promising. And the third is a scenario for the criminal prosecution of Hrayr Tovmasyan. The Prosecutor's Office has instructed to investigate the origins of Tovmasyan's assets. Next, it involves the affairs of notarial offices and the case of abuses in the National Assembly staff. "This scenario is considered the most likely by My Step," stated a source from My Step.

Details can be found in today's issue of the newspaper.
