Mother Attempts to Smuggle Money and Mobile Phone to Imprisoned Son

On October 15, around 22:00, a convict from the RA Ministry of Justice's 'Hrazdan' penitentiary facility, identified as S. D., requested to use the hospital restroom after being transferred to the Hrazdan Medical Center.

According to established procedures, staff members conducted a search of the restroom and discovered a polyethylene package hidden under the sink, containing a total of 0.4 grams of a substance resembling a narcotic, divided into two portions of white, powdery material. A forensic chemical examination has been ordered to determine the composition of the found substance.

The previous day, around 14:30, staff at the 'Nubarashen' penitentiary conducted a personal search on the mother of life-sentenced inmate V. N. during her visit. They found 40,000 AMD and a mobile phone SIM card hidden inside a slipper meant for her son, as well as a mobile phone concealed in her sock. According to the citizen’s verbal statement, she intended to pass the aforementioned prohibited items to her son.
