Lebanon is a Victim of Fires: Urgent Statement
The authorities of Lebanon and Syria have been battling severe forest fires for the second day, with the situation exacerbated by weather conditions of heat and increased winds. Military helicopters and civil defense forces have been engaged in firefighting efforts.
In this regard, the Regional Administration of the Ramkavar Liberal Party in Lebanon has issued an urgent statement, stating: "Lebanon is a victim of fires. Over the past two days, more than 140 fires have been recorded, which continue to turn already sparse forests into ash. The RLP Regional Administration in Lebanon calls on party members and supporters to provide immediate assistance to the affected areas, reaching out to civil defense forces and firefighters, as well as to the displaced population. In times of such disasters, national unity is vital to overcome every difficulty. At the same time, the RLP calls on the relevant authorities to conduct an immediate investigation to uncover the causes of these fires, hoping that the authorities will be better prepared to face such disasters, whether they are human-made crimes or natural calamities. On this occasion, the RLP makes its resources available to the municipalities of the affected areas for planting new trees to replace the damaged ones, keeping our beloved Lebanon green," the statement reads.
