«Joghvourd»: Humanitarian Aid from Russia Amounts to $64,900 from January to August This Year
«Joghvourd» newspaper reports that the volume of humanitarian aid sent to Armenia from abroad is gradually decreasing. According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, from January to August this year, $34,260,200 of humanitarian aid has been sent to Armenia. In contrast, during the same period last year, Armenia received $54,180,800 in humanitarian assistance.
For example, Armenia received $2,618,000 in aid from Germany, while friendly France contributed $451,100. Last year, from January to August, $545,700 of humanitarian aid arrived from France.
In the first eight months of this year, Armenia has received $9,784,000 in humanitarian assistance from Switzerland, while aid from CIS countries amounted to $71,200.
From Russia, humanitarian aid totaling $64,900 has arrived from January to August this year. Notably, during the same period last year, the humanitarian aid from Russia to Armenia amounted to $11,130,000.
Even India has provided humanitarian assistance to Armenia, amounting to $2,656,300, which is an increase compared to the same period last year.
