Fire on the Stretch from Dilijan City to the Tunnel

On October 16 at 10:44 AM, the Emergency Call Center received a report of smoke observed on the stretch from Dilijan city to the tunnel.

Two firefighting units from the Emergency Situations Ministry's regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. The fire was contained by 11:56 AM and extinguished by 4:50 PM.

Approximately 4 hectares of grass cover were burned, and 80 fir trees were singed.

Ten staff members from the Dilijan National Park participated in the firefighting efforts.
