Fire Erupts at Briquette Production Plant

On October 15, at 01:51, the "911" service received information about a fire that broke out in the animal husbandry complex area in the village of Zoravan, Kotayk Province.

Two fire-rescue units from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and one firefighting unit from the City of Yerevan were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the fire had started in the briquette production area at the beginning of Zoravan village. The fire was contained by 08:00 and extinguished on October 16 at 18:12.

Approximately 120 tons of straw and about 170 square meters of roofing material were burned, and briquette production equipment and raw material grinders were damaged due to heat. There were no casualties reported.

A support vehicle, a tractor, also participated in the firefighting efforts.
