Father of Former Deputy of Arsen Torosyan is in the NSS
The father of one of the deputy ministers of health is involved as a suspect in a money laundering case at the National Security Service (NSS).
This was reported to 168.am by a source close to the ministry. The source hinted at which deputy of minister Arsen Torosyan is in question, mentioning only the name of the "Armenia" All-Armenian Foundation and indicating that it is an issue related to state donation funds.
The NSS did not deny the information provided by 168.am but did not promise any new information, urging to rely on official statements during the pre-investigation phase.
According to unverified reports, it pertains to a deal worth about 150 million drams for the supply of property to several regions of Artsakh, which was made, but the property has not been delivered.
Furthermore, according to the NSS's statement, official forged documents were prepared for the purpose of misappropriating the mentioned funds allocated from the foundation for that purpose, including acts of transfer-acceptance of material values, to create the appearance of expenditure.
By the way, one side of the transaction was the foundation, while the other side was a private company operating under the foundation.
It was also revealed yesterday that Deputy Minister of Health Hovhannes Harutyunyan has been relieved of his duties in accordance with his application.
