Video: Police to Examine Sanasaryan's Incident of Hitting a Child
The video regarding the incident where Davit Sanasaryan, the head of the State Oversight Service (whose powers are temporarily suspended), allegedly hit a child is under investigation. The police have confirmed to NEWS.am that they are familiar with the video and are conducting the necessary examination.
Recently, Analitik.am reported that Davit Sanasaryan had hit a child with his vehicle, and that this incident was concealed and not registered with the police. Sanasaryan reportedly used all his leverage to prevent the accident from being recorded by the authorities.
Later, Sanasaryan denied the claims, calling them "another fabrication." Following this, Analitik.am released a video where the child's parents provided details about the incident. According to their account, Sanasaryan claimed that he did not hit the child but rather that the child had come and fallen under the vehicle.
After the release of the video, Sanasaryan announced on Facebook that the accusations were unfounded. He stated that the child, while jumping off a stone on the side of the vehicle, had touched his car and then fell to the ground. He also mentioned that he checked on the child's well-being and visited the hospital with the family twice out of humanitarian concern.
Sanasaryan further revealed that two days later, the child’s mother demanded 300,000 drams from him, threatening that if he did not pay, she would tell the media that he had hit her child. After he stated that he would not be giving any money, she claimed she would inform the media.
The former official stated that he plans to file a report concerning the crime of extortion.
