VIDEO: If some believe that the waste management problem is solved, it is not true – Aghekyan

Member of the "Alternative Municipality" initiative, Sona Aghekyan, conducted a live stream on her Facebook page while touring the center of Yerevan, specifically along Kajaznuni Street, showcasing that Yerevan is still not fully cleared of waste.

Aghekyan emphasized that in order to resolve the waste management issue, the municipality and relevant bodies must take numerous steps. She demonstrated the existing waste and the pollution in children's playgrounds.

"Emptying the waste from containers does not mean that the city has been cleaned and that the waste management issue has been fully resolved. This is indeed a disgrace. If some think that the waste management problem is solved, I declare with full responsibility that this is not the case and does not correspond to reality," she stated, noting that similar situations exist in all administrative districts.

Sona Aghekyan also mentioned that they will clean the city from municipal waste. "I wish us all to be courageous and not just speak with words that we love our city, so that our children play in clean playgrounds and we walk in a clean Yerevan," she added.
