Turkey Pursues Those Speaking Against Operations in Syria: Palyan
Wishing for peace has become a crime in Turkey. This was stated by Karo Palyan, an Armenian member of the Turkish Parliament from the Peoples' Democratic Party, on his Twitter microblog. He added that criminal prosecutions are being carried out in Turkey against those who speak out against the actions of the Turkish military invading Syria.
"Wishing for peace has become a crime in Turkey, Mr. President. Nine members of the HDP who expressed the thought 'No to war, peace right now' have been arrested. It is not the wish for peace but the desire for war that is considered a crime," wrote the Armenian legislator.
