Truly Astonishing: Tankian Compares Erdoğan to Hitler

World-renowned musician and lead vocalist of System of a Down, Serj Tankian, has compared Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Adolf Hitler. He published a photo collage featuring both figures. The collage also includes dates: 1939, marking the start of World War II, and 2019, when Turkey initiated operations against the Kurds in Syria.

"Hitler and Erdoğan, it is truly astonishing," he wrote.

Turkey's military operation against the Kurds, dubbed Operation Peace Spring, began on October 9. The Turkish Armed Forces' incursion into Syria occurred after American troops withdrew from the eastern part of the Euphrates River. Several countries, including Armenia, have condemned Turkey's actions in northern Syria.
