Fatal Car Accident in Tavush Region: Porsche Cayenne Rolls 30 Meters Into a Ravine

Today, on October 15, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Tavush region. Around 17:40, the driver of a Porsche Cayenne with the license plate 18 QA 800 lost control while traveling on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway at the 113 km mark, veering off the road, colliding with metal barriers, and rolling approximately 30 meters before ending up in a ravine.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, one person died on the spot, while another was transported to the Ijevan Medical Center with injuries. Bystanders were the first to provide assistance to the injured individual.

Police and investigators have identified the deceased as 35-year-old Edgar Vanesyan, a resident of the village of Gndzakar in the Tavush region, whose body was found outside the vehicle. The injured individual is identified as 43-year-old Arman Iskandaryan, also from his village.

By order of the investigator, the vehicle, which had turned into metal scrap, was removed to the specially protected area of the Dilijan division of the police using a crane.
