Show Kindness to Tourists, Says Nikol Pashinyan

Booking.com has listed Yerevan among the top 10 most active tourist destinations in the world for 2020. This was announced by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.

"This means that our tourism sector will continue to see double-digit growth in 2020, opening up significant opportunities for small, medium, and even large businesses. My request, directed to taxi drivers and random passersby, to show kindness to tourists remains in effect," he stated.

He added, "Moreover, tourists visiting Yerevan are required to visit the regions. Therefore, the aforementioned opportunities also apply to the regions and villages. Today, we receive reports of tourist visits to villages that have no tourism infrastructure at all. Tourists often rent cars from villagers and buy food just to enjoy walking in the forests or fields."
