One Participant in the Bloody Incident in Vanadzor Arrested (Video)
Law enforcement officers from the main department of the Police's Criminal Investigation, the Lori regional department, and the Taroni division conducted extensive operational and investigative measures and on October 11 detained a 39-year-old man from Vanadzor at the Bagratashen border checkpoint. He was presented to the investigative body and provided a confession that on October 4 he fired a gun in the basement of one of the houses on Michurini Street in Vanadzor. The detained individual was arrested as a suspect and subsequently charged. On October 13, the man was taken into custody and transferred to a correctional facility.
On October 4, around midnight, six young men aged 29, 28, 26, 25, and 21 were transported with gunshot wounds to the 'Vanadzor' medical center. One 25-year-old victim died on the way to the hospital. Police and investigative committee officers who arrived at the scene found the bodies of two 30-year-old men in the basement of the house, also with gunshot wounds. A criminal case had been initiated in the Lori regional investigative department regarding particularly serious crimes.
At the scene, various calibers of cartridges, blood-like traces, knives, syringes, a 'Makarov' pistol, and a 'Kalashnikov' assault rifle were discovered in the garden of the house. In the meantime, investigators from the Taroni division had already detained a 46-year-old man from Vanadzor, who was presented to the body conducting the preliminary investigation and was arrested. As a result of operational-investigative measures and investigative actions, factual data were obtained regarding the circumstances of the armed incident, based on which charges were brought against the arrested man. On October 7, by court decision, he was arrested and transferred to a correctional facility.
