7 Million People Evacuated Due to Typhoon in Japan
The death toll from Typhoon Hagibis, which hit Japan, has reached 37, with 20 individuals still missing, reports the BBC.
More than 110,000 personnel are involved in search and rescue operations, attempting to assist those trapped due to landslides and flooding. Tens of thousands are without water and electricity, and over 7 million people have been evacuated.
Hagibis is the most powerful typhoon to strike Japan in recent decades.
