Five ISIS Militants Escape from Prison, Expert Says

An expert on the Turkish-Kurdish conflict, Karen Hovhannisyan, stated on his Facebook page that five ISIS militants escaped from a prison near Jirkin in Qamishli following shelling by Turkish artillery.

“It was previously reported that more than a hundred women, who are the wives of ISIS militants, attempted to flee from the Al-Hol camp. In total, over the past three days, ISIS militants have attempted to escape 247 times. In prisons under Kurdish control, there are 2,000 foreign ISIS militants, 8,000 Syrian ISIS militants, and 70,000 of their women and children,” the expert wrote.
