‘Fact’ Newspaper: Candidate Who Won Competition for Health Minister's Close Associate Position Not Appointed

‘Fact’ newspaper reports: On October 8, a competition was held at the Lori Regional Administration for the position of director of the ‘Alaverdi’ Medical Center. The candidates participating in the competition included the current director Stepan Mosinyan, head of the surgical department of the Stepanavan Medical Center and surgeon at the Vanadzor Medical Center Gevorg Azaryan, ear, nose, and throat specialist Anush Isperyan from Vanadzor Polyclinic No. 5, and deputy director of ‘Alaverdi Medical Center’ LLC Hovik Avetisyan.

The candidate who won the competition is surgeon Gevorg Azaryan, who has been practicing surgery at the medical center for nearly ten years.

However, according to ‘Fact’ newspaper information, the governor of Lori is trying by all means not to appoint the person who won the competition because the position was intended for a close associate of the Minister of Health.

According to sources, at the governor’s urging, the commission may cancel the competition and hold a new one. For this, according to our sources, they are trying to find legal grounds.
