Former District Chief Suspected of Not Sending Vehicles to Artsakh During April War and Donating Them to Associates
The Organized Crime and Corruption Prevention Department of the Police has reportedly received operational information regarding Armen Sargsyan, the former head of the Shengavit administrative district in Yerevan.
As reported by Shamshyan.com, citing its sources, during his tenure, Sargsyan allegedly collected various sums of money from different entrepreneurs operating in his district under the pretext of sending vehicles to the Republic of Artsakh for charitable purposes during the period of the April War in 2016.
With the collected funds, in the same year, he acquired "VAZ 21214" vehicles from the Russian Federation. However, instead of sending the mentioned vehicles to the Republic of Artsakh, the former district chief allegedly donated them to his close associates.
