The Document on Stripping Hrayr Tovmasyan of Powers is Incomplete: Tonoyan

Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party and parliamentary group, has clearly stated that his absence from the vote on the initiative to strip Hrayr Tovmasyan of his powers as President of the Constitutional Court is due to the document's absolute legal incompleteness.

This was announced on October 7 during a traditional press briefing at the National Assembly by Iveta Tonoyan, a member of parliament from the Prosperous Armenia party and the press secretary of Gagik Tsarukyan.

According to her, they have repeatedly stated in recent days that a document with questionable wording was put to the parliamentary discussion.

“In other words, no one is discussing Hrayr Tovmasyan's compliance or non-compliance. He is not our idol, and more importantly, we are not a member of his club. It was no secret that the votes of 'My Step' would be sufficient to submit that document to the Constitutional Court for consideration,” Tonoyan noted.
