Current Examination for Kocharian, Nothing Serious: Levon Kocharian
Before the court session regarding Robert Kocharian and others, Robert Kocharian's son, Levon Kocharian, stated that his father is undergoing a current examination which will provide some insights, but there is nothing serious. Regarding what Levon Kocharian is complaining about, he noted: “Last year he was supposed to go for an examination, then they did something inappropriate, now it’s a current process, blood tests, etc.,” he said.
He continued, “The incident with Judge Anna Danibekyan can be discussed on other grounds—whether it was right, wrong, worth it, or not—but in a legal context, especially in relation to such an article as ‘obstruction of justice’, that’s absurd. Those guys, maybe unwittingly, demonstrated the double standards that are applied in our country. In other words, Anna Danibekyan was supposed to make a decision in the advisory room on September 16. The Constitutional Court's decision, based on which the judge was to make a decision, was assessed by the first two leaders of the country as illegal, an authority they simply did not have. The next day, Anna Danibekyan ignored the Constitutional Court's ruling; in other words, I won't mention the fact that the court was closed, that a judge was pushed and thrown in this building, all that is not obstruction of justice, but if they approach live, you know, there is no insult in the material you are viewing.”
To the journalist’s comment that he asked not to be filmed, Kocharian responded: “How many times do we ask you not to film, you film anyway; they are also conducting a political action, and you do not address the fact that Davit Balayan was pushed out of the window and fell. The prosecution refuses to open a case, but they come out at night with ‘mask shows’ and take people out of their homes. We can talk on another level, remember what they did to Narek Malyan, did they catch the kids who tried to arrest him? Did they catch the photographers or not?”
