The 'Holiday Inn' Hotel Does Not Belong to Karen Karapetyan
The 'Holiday Inn' hotel being constructed near Republic Square does not belong to the former Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, according to a response from his office to Aysor.am's inquiry.
The newspaper 'Zhamanak' had reported today that a sign on the building located at the beginning of Amiryan Street, adjacent to Republic Square, announced the upcoming opening of the 'Holiday Inn' hotel, claiming that it belongs to Karen Karapetyan.
In response, Karapetyan's office stated, "The information published in today's issue of the 'Zhamanak' newspaper, alleging that the 'Holiday Inn' hotel to be opened in Yerevan supposedly belongs to former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, is entirely untrue. We find it necessary to mention that recently, the 'Zhamanak' newspaper has made a habit of spreading false and manipulative news specifically regarding Karen Karapetyan. Our public demand is for the mentioned media outlet to issue a retraction of these publications and to refrain from further speculation surrounding the name of Karen Karapetyan, otherwise we will meet in court."
