VIDEO: Car Importers’ Protest Rally in Front of Government

The Car Importers' Union organized a protest rally in front of the Government building with the participation of citizens, opposing the government's decision regarding the acquisition of temporary or permanent residency status, which was not accepted.

The importers propose that the government buy their cars using the taxes they have paid. They are concerned about why there has not been any good news yet. According to Tigran Hovhannisyan, the president of the Car Importers’ Union, by entering the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenia is falling into a trap.

It should be noted that from 2020, the importation of cars younger than 7 years will be cheaper. Local entrepreneurs are worried and are waiting for the Government's response.
