I Do Not Recognize a Judge Named Hrayr Tovmasyan: Ulikhanyan

Member of the National Assembly from the "My Step" faction Tigran Ulikhanyan wrote on his Facebook page: "I do not recognize a judge named Hrayr Tovmasyan. Yesterday, Hrayr gave an interview. I generally would not have addressed this insipid, politically inappropriate interview given by a member of the Constitutional Court, from which we learned that by neutralizing him, we neutralize the Constitutional Court, meaning he identifies himself with the Court.

We learned that he wakes up at three in the morning, reads decisions, and that before making a decision, he goes to church and lights a candle.

But Hrayr also said in that same interview, 'One of the deputies said that if the political majority makes a decision, then any official should resign.' This is a distorted version of my statement in its entirety.

Perhaps he read it at three in the morning, but forgot to turn on the light. Such distortions can be allowed by those colorful political figures who still seem to be lurking in the shadows, manipulative 'journalists' of the press, slanderers, and flat-headed commentators, as well as Hrayr Tovmasyan.

Shame on you, Hrayr, a thousand shames. A person of this quality cannot be a judge of our homeland, the Republic of Armenia's Constitutional Court. His presence in that building discredits the very structure of the Constitutional Court. What kind of judge is he?

His absence from today’s National Assembly session, the statement he issued, its content, and the blatant disdain toward the people and their representative body cannot remain without consequence, and those consequences will inevitably follow."
