Government Allocates Funds to Police

The government allocated approximately 37 million drams to the police for covering the expenses of conducting the "Canal-Caucasian Barrier" regional anti-drug operation in Armenia.

According to the police's report to the government, the allocated funds will be used for organizing the "Canal-Caucasian Barrier" event and for the protocol and representational services during the working visits of the interior ministries from Belarus, France, Georgia, and the United Arab Emirates to Armenia.

As part of the allocated funds, the Armenian police will also be traveling for a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The "Canal-Caucasian Barrier" regional anti-drug operation took place in Armenia from September 22 to 28. The accommodation and travel expenses for the delegates were covered by the visitors, while food and all organizational matters were funded by the police.

The police reported that delegates from the aforementioned countries are expected to arrive in Armenia during the autumn months. The conducted events aim to ensure cooperation in combating illegal drug trafficking within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty, as well as to enhance collaboration and operational cooperation in the fight against crime.
