Acting Chief of Police Conducts Operational Meeting
On October 3, an operational meeting was held at the Armenian Police, led by the Acting Chief of Police Arman Sarkisyan. Members of the Police Board, heads of units from the central administration, and operational police officers from the capital and regional divisions attended the meeting. This was reported by the Public Relations and Media Department of the Armenian Police.
Welcoming the attendees, Arman Sarkisyan introduced the topics to be discussed. He noted that the detection of crimes, especially those of a corrupt nature, is directly related to the country's economic development, and urged to intensify efforts in uncovering corruption-related and economically targeted crimes.
Speaking about personnel policy within the police, the acting chief assured that law enforcement officers with high professional and human indicators would be promoted. He also emphasized that training should not be formal and that police officers must engage in self-education.
Arman Sarkisyan called for close cooperation with representatives of other law enforcement agencies and local self-government bodies. Addressing the unit leaders, he also touched upon the issue of personnel workload, urging the leadership to organize work in a way that avoids unnecessary exertion of resources.
The meeting also discussed issues related to the technical readiness of operational units, impartial distribution of bonuses, police discipline, and other operational matters. Arman Sarkisyan congratulated the attendees on the professional holiday of criminal detectives, wishing them safe and fruitful service, and assured that the entire police force would honorably fulfill any tasks set before them in the name of the Republic of Armenia.
