Yerevan Municipality Transfers 160 Million DRAM to Sanitek Companies

The Yerevan Municipality has today transferred a total of 160 million dram to Sanitek companies for services rendered in the second half of August 2019. This was announced by the press secretary of the Yerevan Mayor, Hakob Karapetyan, on his Facebook page.

“We urge the management of Sanitek companies to prioritize these funds for fulfilling their salary obligations to their employees. We also inform that the Yerevan Municipality has no further financial obligations towards Sanitek companies, given that their waste collection and sanitary cleaning services ceased entirely in the city since August 29,” the statement read.

Recently, there has been an ongoing remote dispute between the Yerevan Municipality and Sanitek regarding payments for July and August. Meanwhile, Sanitek employees have been staging protests in front of the Yerevan Municipality building, demanding a resolution for their unpaid wages.
