My Termination Process is Political: SC President

I would very much like to hear clear observations, definitions, and facts regarding when I violated ethics and when I committed a disciplinary violation, said Hrayr Tovmasyan, President of the Constitutional Court, in an interview with ArmNews' "Orakhndir" program.

He expressed the opinion that the process of terminating his powers is political and aims to neutralize the Constitutional Court in the decision-making process.

Tovmasyan also noted that he has never greeted the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, nor has he ever been in the same room with him.

"The Constitutional Court is the territory entrusted to me within our borders. For me, standing at that border is the same psychological state as that of a soldier standing on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border," he said.
