Lukashenko Was Absent from the Selfie Due to a Family Tragedy
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, was not present in the famous selfie of country leaders because a tragedy occurred in his family, requiring him to participate in certain mourning activities; thus, he departed Armenia earlier.
This information was disclosed today in the National Assembly by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in response to MP Mikhail Zolyan's question as to why Lukashenko was absent from the photo.
Pashinyan also noted that it is common practice for leaders of countries to travel to events using the same transportation, and the photo was taken at that time.
It is worth mentioning that after the conclusion of the EAEU summit, Nikol Pashinyan published a new selfie featuring Moldovan President Igor Dodon, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Road selfie :) During this time, we managed to make an important decision,” Pashinyan wrote alongside the photo.
