Discussion on Replacing Tigran Sargsyan
According to the newspaper ‘Hraparak’, the most significant event of the recent meeting of the EAEU Supreme Council was the free trade agreement signed between Singapore and the EAEU member states, which set forth the rights regarding the customs entry of goods from EAEU countries into the Singaporean market.
Notable was the participation of the Iranian President and the meeting between the two ‘adversarial friends’ of the US, Hassan Rouhani and Vladimir Putin.
The issue of replacing Tigran Sargsyan, the Chairman of the EAEU Collegium, was also discussed. His term expires in February, and now it is Belarus's turn to propose a successor. However, Lukashenko stated that they have not yet decided whom to nominate and requested to postpone the matter.
