Emergency Situation in Syunik Province: Drivers Caught in Over 1.5 km Traffic Jam

For the past two days, SHAMSHYAN.com has been receiving reports from numerous drivers of passenger and freight vehicles, stating that in the Zirak bends of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, workers from the Goris Road Department have installed a strange and misspelled sign that reads: "THE ROAD IS CLOSED FOR CARGO VEHICLES FROM 09:00 TO 18:00".

During a conversation with a SHAMSHYAN.com correspondent, drivers expressed their concerns: "In order to commence construction work in the Zirak bends, there must be proper signs, including warning signs, not only in Armenian but also in Russian and English, since foreign drivers, including those coming from Iran, also travel through this section. Many Iranian and other country drivers find themselves on the under-construction road due to the lack of signs, creating traffic jams caused by the Goris Road Department employees."
