Artsakh's Foreign Minister Meets with U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone
The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, Masis Mayilyan, met with U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone on October 1. The Foreign Minister praised Congressman Pallone's consistent efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting the interests of Artsakh in the U.S. Congress, as well as establishing and strengthening stability in the region.
During the meeting, various levels of relations between Artsakh and the United States and their development prospects were discussed. Masis Mayilyan emphasized that the American direction holds a significant place in Artsakh's international cooperation, considering the potential of the Armenian diaspora and the established friendly ties with the U.S.
The parties highlighted the necessity of continuous efforts to strengthen and expand cooperation between sister cities of Artsakh and the U.S., as well as with U.S. states whose legislative bodies have adopted resolutions supporting the republic's independence.
At Congressman Pallone's request, Masis Mayilyan presented the current phase of the negotiations regarding the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the situation along the line of contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan. In this context, recent provocations initiated by the Azerbaijani side along the line of contact were addressed. The parties assessed that these incidents once again demonstrate the urgency of establishing international mechanisms for monitoring the ceasefire regime.
