1500 USD and About 700 Thousand Dram Stolen from the Residence of a Cathedral Priest

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the Investigative Department of the Armavir Regional Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia received materials yesterday, September 30, regarding a theft that took place in the Armavir region.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, on that day, a 44-year-old man named Samvel K. from Manukyan Street in Vagharshapat city approached the Vagharshapat police department and informed that on the same day, between 09:00 and 13:00, the window of the front door of his Toyota Camry, parked on Movses Khorenatsi Street in Echmiadzin, was broken, and the keys to his house were stolen from the car.

Moreover, sometime before 14:00 on the same day, thieves entered his apartment by unlocking the front door and stole approximately 1500 USD and about 700 thousand dram from there.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, Samvel K. indicated in the investigative department that he works as a priest at the "Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin" church.
