Stabbed Man Dies in Hospital: Police Locate Suspect (Video)
On September 29, around midnight, a woman called 1-02, reporting that her husband had been stabbed on Rubinyants Street. The call was relayed to the Kanaker-Zeytun police department.
Shortly thereafter, another report came in from the Mikayelian Medical Center, stating that a 49-year-old man had been hospitalized with stab wounds from building 19 on Rubinyants Street. Approximately four hours after being admitted to the medical facility, the man died without regaining consciousness.
Criminal investigators from the Kanaker-Zeytun police department, through extensive operational measures, obtained factual data indicating that a 30-year-old man living on Rubinyants Street had called the 49-year-old man out of his home to talk. After exchanging a word or two in the yard of the building, he stabbed him.
Before dawn, Zeytun police managed to locate and detain the suspect. He has been presented to the territorial pre-trial body and arrested.
During the site investigation, traces of blood and a knife, which is preliminarily identified as the murder weapon, were found. A criminal case has been initiated, and circumstances are being clarified through operational-investigative measures and investigative actions.
