Mkhitaryan's Injury Is Not Serious, He Will Participate in the Next Match of the 'Giallorossi'
The injury that Armenia national team and AS Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan suffered is not serious. This information has been provided by Italian media.
The midfielder sustained the injury during the away match against Lecce on September 29, in the 6th round of the Serie A 2019-20 season, where AS Roma won 1-0. Mkhitaryan, who provided an assist to Edin Džeko in the 56th minute, was unable to finish the match and was substituted in the 87th minute.
Later, the Football Federation of Armenia announced that the team captain had sustained a groin injury. They also noted that the seriousness of the injury would be assessed after today's examination. However, up until now, the AFFA has not released any official information.
According to Italian media, Mkhitaryan may participate in the next match of the 'Giallorossi'. The team’s upcoming game is scheduled for October 3, where they will face Wolfsberger in the second round of the Europa League 2019-20 season.
