BREAKING: Valeri Osipyan Relieved of His Position as Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has signed a decision to relieve Valeri Osipyan of his duties as chief advisor to the Prime Minister, according to the government’s website.
"In accordance with part 10 of Article 9 of the Law on Public Service of the Republic of Armenia, Valeri Osipyan is to be relieved of his position as chief advisor to the Prime Minister," the decision reads.
It is worth noting that Valeri Osipyan was appointed as the head of the Police of the Republic of Armenia on May 10, 2018, and was relieved from that position on September 18, 2019. On the same day, by the Prime Minister's decision, Osipyan was appointed as the chief advisor to the Prime Minister. However, it was immediately announced that Osipyan had taken a leave of absence from September 20 to October 2.
