Boxer Vanes Martirosyan Arrested for Assaulting His Wife

American-Armenian boxer Vanes Martirosyan has been arrested for assaulting his wife.

The incident occurred on September 15 at their home in Los Angeles. Law enforcement officials report that the situation began with a verbal argument, after which Vanes allegedly pulled his wife's hair and struck her in the face with his head.

Upon arrival at the scene, police found the woman with bruises and a bleeding nose; however, she declined medical assistance.

Martirosyan was taken into custody, provided a statement, and was later released on a $50,000 bail.
