55 Percent of US Residents Support Trump's Impeachment

55 percent of US residents support the investigation initiated by Democrats regarding the impeachment process of President Donald Trump. This is according to survey data conducted by CBS News.

The results of the study indicate that opinions among Americans are divided based on party affiliation. About nine out of ten Democrats (87 percent) approve of the investigation, while two-thirds strongly support it. In contrast, 77 percent of Republican supporters expressed their opposition to the inquiry.

The views of independent respondents were roughly evenly split: 49 percent support the investigation, while 51 percent do not.
