30-Year-Old Man Assaulted with Weapon-Like Object in ‘Tetsi Krug’
On September 28, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 06:10, the police received a report from the Erebuni Medical Center that a citizen had been transported there with a diagnosis of "lacerated wounds to the top of the head and occipital region, soft tissue lacerations in the right dorsal area."
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, it was determined that the individual admitted to the hospital was 30-year-old Artak T., a resident of 2nd street of the Nor Kharberd horticultural company. It was reported that around 04:30 on the same day, he had an argument with two unknown individuals near the address of 6 Arin-Berd Street, during which one of them struck Artak T. on the head with a weapon-like object they had on them, and subsequently both individuals delivered numerous blows to various parts of his body with their hands and feet, causing physical injuries.
According to G. Shamshyan, efforts were made to identify the assailants, and it was revealed that one of them was 34-year-old Arthur J., a resident of 29th street in Nor Aresh. With the help of investigative officers, Arthur J. reported to the Erebuni police station, provided an explanation regarding the incident, and then handed over the pneumatic gun he had, after which he was released.
The police are taking actions to identify and locate the friend of Arthur J. Materials are being prepared in the investigative department regarding the incident. According to the photojournalist’s information, the incident took place in the well-known area of “Tetsi Krug,” near the auto parts market.
