Today, on September 28, 20-year-old Arman Levonyan, who died from a fatal gunshot wound, was from the Ohanavan community in the Aragatsotn region.

Arman’s homeroom teacher, Vachik Asatryan, told NEWS.am that Arman was set to be discharged from the army this autumn, and all who knew him are shocked by the incident.

“We have lost a great person who was destined for a very bright future; we have lost a kingly boy. He was a very educated student, a wonderful young man, wise, clever, and attentive,” he said.

Arman was the youngest in the family and had an older brother. The family is engaged in agriculture.

Earlier, it was reported that on September 28, at around 06:50, Arman Armeni Levonyan, a soldier born in 1999, sustained a fatal gunshot wound under still unclear circumstances at a guard post in one of the military units deployed in the northern direction of the Artsakh Defense Army. This information was provided by the press service of the Artsakh Ministry of Defense. An investigation is underway to clarify the details of the incident.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh shares the heavy grief of the loss and expresses its support to the family members, relatives, and colleagues of the deceased serviceman.
