Pashinyan Holds Consultation in Government

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a consultation in the government today, during which issues related to Armenia's anti-corruption strategy were discussed.

The discussion focused particularly on the formation of an institutional framework for anti-corruption measures as stipulated by the strategy. There was a reference to the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Committee as a specialized body tasked with investigating corruption-related crimes, including the scope and directions of its activities.

In this context, issues related to the execution of investigative and operational intelligence functions, as well as the training and retraining of relevant specialists, the development of expertise, and other matters were also discussed.

Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the involvement and training of qualified and experienced professionals within the anti-corruption institutional framework is crucial for its operational effectiveness, along with close cooperation and experience sharing among law enforcement agencies. The head of government emphasized the importance of inter-agency discussions aimed at comprehensive development of the Anti-Corruption Strategy and commissioned the completion of work on the final version according to the established timeline.
