Emergency Incident in Yerevan: Rescuers and Police Retrieve Male Body from Water Conduit
Today, on September 28, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 19:40, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received reports via its 9-11 hotline, as well as from the operational management center of the Yerevan Police, regarding a body found in a water conduit on Arin Berd Street.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reporting from the scene, the operational team of the Erebuni division of the Police, led by division head Vardan Vardanyan, deputy division head Mamiko Hakobyan, and chief of the criminal investigation department Zorik Avdishoyev, arrived promptly at the location. Employees of the Patrol Service were also present. The fire and rescue squad number 3 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, led by senior officer Armen Dghoyan, and the special operations unit number 18, commanded by deputy commander Armen Avetisyan, also arrived to assist.
The investigative operations at the scene are directed by senior investigator Nikoghos Mejlumyan from the Erebuni division’s investigative department, who is preparing materials regarding the incident. Currently, rescuers and police are using a cable to retrieve the body. The police are working to establish the identity of the deceased.
