Uncertainties Before the EAEU Summit

Uncertainties Before the EAEU Summit

According to the "Fact" newspaper, the next EAEU summit will be held in Yerevan from September 30 to October 1. Preliminary information indicates that besides the leaders of member countries, the President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Singapore will also participate.

Incidentally, it is still unclear at the official level whether there will be a separate meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Moreover, there were reports in the press that Putin would stay in Yerevan for only 1-2 hours. There are only 4 days left until the summit, yet many uncertainties remain.

The newspaper approached the Russian Embassy in Armenia to clarify the circulating information and the schedule for Vladimir Putin's visit. The embassy responded that "at this moment we cannot say anything." The newspaper also learned from a source close to governmental circles that there is no separate meeting planned with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani either.
