Time: Opening an Embassy in Israel Sparks Serious Discontent
The newspaper "Time" reports that the decision made by the Armenian authorities to open an embassy in Israel has sparked serious discontent among the Armenian diasporas in the Middle East, particularly in Lebanon and Syria, as well as in Iran, which are effectively in a state of war with Israel.
The Armenian communities in these countries are concerned that the establishment of diplomatic relations could alter the positive attitude of local governments towards Armenian communities. Currently, local Armenian political parties and community organizations are holding consultations to determine how to respond to this new reality.
