‘Fact’. A Crack in the Government System Revealed After Vanetsyan and Osipyan's Resignation
‘Fact’ newspaper writes: “Autumn is characterized by active processes within the government. It seemed that in these days, it would be possible for Nikol Pashinyan, who enjoys high ratings among the public, to maintain the unity of the ruling force. However, disagreements quickly deepened between the Prime Minister and certain members of the ruling ‘My Step’ faction at the first opportunity (the topics of Vanetsyan and Osipyan set aside).
The first signs of discord within the government manifested during the mayoral elections in Abovyan, when Sasun Mikayelyan refused to support the ruling force, specifically the candidate for governor. Perhaps that is also why Mikayelyan, who was the chairman of the CPP, was not elected to the party's executive body this time.
After that, rumors spread that Mikayelyan was not participating in the sessions of the ‘My Step’ faction, and now there are reports suggesting that he may even be expelled from the party. The process of segmentation within the government seems to be taking on a domino effect.
And today, analyzing the current situation in the domestic political arena, various political scientists conclude that representatives separated from the government could form a new alternative bloc, whose positions could have significant implications for future political developments. A crack in the government system was also revealed within the cabinet when the heads of the NSS and police resigned.
