Armenia Maintains High Economic Growth Zone, Says Pashinyan
In August 2019, the economic activity index stood at 7.6% compared to August of the previous year, indicating that Armenia continues to remain within a high economic growth zone.
According to the results from August, the annual indicators for 2019 are as follows:
- Economic activity index – 7%
- Industrial growth – 9.5%
- Construction growth – 4.4%
- Trade turnover growth – 9%
- Services growth – 15.5%
- Average monthly salary growth – 5.7%
- Export growth – 4.6%
Additionally, in August, there was not only no inflation recorded, but a certain deflation was also noted. Overall, Armenia continues to operate within a low inflation environment.
These are quite positive indicators and should encourage all of us for better performance.
