‘Zhoghovurd’. The Principle of Placing Jobs Through Connections Has Not Disappeared

‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper writes: The principle of nepotism based on family and friends is indeed a problem. This is a well-known principle of Nikol Pashinyan. Although much is said about the candidacies of the Prime Minister's nephew, Sipan Pashinyan, and the brother of Anna Hakobyan, Hrachya Hakobyan, the newspaper has also brought to light many other relatives and acquaintances established in the executive and legislative branches.

Spouses Lena Nazaryan, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, and Narek Babayan, the Head of the State Property Management Department, exemplify this. Nvard Vardanyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council representing the ‘My Step’ faction, is the sister of Tsovinar Vardanyan from the corresponding faction in the National Assembly, known for her threats to “chew off the ears” of everyone one by one.

Moreover, Hripsime Grigoryan, a deputy from the ‘My Step’ faction, has her husband, Davit Karapetyan, serving as an advisor to the President of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan. There are numerous such examples. The conclusion is clear: the principle of placing jobs through connections has certainly not disappeared.
