‘Past’ newspaper reports that two notable events occurred the day before which, according to the newspaper's information, have been received quite painfully by Nikol Pashinyan, who is currently in the USA.

First, Sassun Mikayelyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ‘My Step’ faction and president of the Union of Volunteer Fighters, commented on the resignation of former NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan during an interview with media outlets. He stated that Vanetsyan is his friend and will remain his friend, adding that “nobody can throw Vanetsyan’s epaulettes into the trash.”

Serious tension has been observed within the government apparatus. According to reports, Pashinyan has contacted Ararat Mirzoyan and Tigran Avinyan, urging them to be extremely attentive to the team until his return. He also added that Mikayelyan’s case will be put forward for discussion by the party’s board, and it is not excluded that Mikayelyan will be dismissed from the party. There are rumors that he may also resign from his position as president of the Union of Volunteer Fighters.
