Four Armenians Arrested for Illegal Border Crossing in Russia
Four citizens of Armenia have been sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 1 year and 4 months to 1 year and 7 months. This was reported by Rusarminfo.
The reason for the imprisonment of these Armenian citizens was their attempt to illegally cross the border into Russia. Upon arriving in Kaliningrad, the men, aged between 28 and 41, had pretended to work at a construction site; however, their actual intention was to move to the European Union.
Their only attempt to enter EU territory back in August 2018 had ended in failure. They were apprehended by border guards in Kaliningrad at the time of their border crossing.
The court's decision has recently come into legal force.
