Eiffel Tower Lights to be Turned Off in Memory of Former President Jacques Chirac

The lights of the Eiffel Tower will be turned off in memory of former French President Jacques Chirac, who passed away on September 26. According to Armenian News Agency "Armenpress," citing "RIA Novosti," the information was announced by SETE, the company that manages the Eiffel Tower.

"Today at 21:00, the lights of the Eiffel Tower will be turned off in memory of Jacques Chirac. From that moment on, the tower will not be open to visitors. We cannot ensure guests' safety when the lights are off," a representative of the agency stated.

Chirac, who served as President of France from 1995 to 2007, passed away this morning at the age of 86.
