Supreme Court Rejects Application from Kocharian's Defenders
The Supreme Court has rejected the application of the accused Robert Kocharian's defenders, H. Alumyana, A. Orbelyan, and H. Khudoyan, to accept their cassation complaints into proceedings. The criminal case has been sent to the first instance court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan with an accusatory conclusion. This information comes from the judicial information system.
Specifically, defender H. Alumyana requested in his cassation complaint to completely annul the decision of the Court of Appeals dated June 25, 2019, and to give legal force to the decision of the First Instance Court dated May 18, 2019, to lift the pre-trial detention selected for R. Kocharian and release him.
